Janice MacLeod

Our Director

Home
Janice MacLeod retired from a career of teaching kindergarten and music with the SCDSB.  At West Bayfield Elementary School she involved large casts of children from primary though to grade 8 in musical productions.

Janice has been the church music director / accompanist at churches in Pickering, Barrie and Oro-Medonte, as well as the accompanist / director of Hawkestone Singers and the accompanist for Parkview Singers.

Janice teaches piano in her home to children and adults. She started Simcoe Singers in 2012 and is thrilled that Simcoe Singers has brought so many people together
 who love to sing.
Her emphasis is on learning through the enjoyment of performance and
making lasting connections with new friends.

What the choir members have to say:

Depression made me lose my voice. Simcoe Singers gave it back to me. ... I call the choir my "Music Therapy" ... even though I can't read music, I still have the best time learning and having a lot of fun!"
Jennifer H
It was wonderful to share this experience with my daughter.  She was disappointed when she realized we didn't get to sing all summer!  We had so much fun learning the songs and listening to the CD!
